Behind Bella Expatria

Hi! I’m April. I’m a Jakarta-based Manila girl whose ultimate mission is to celebrate joie de vivre whenever and wherever I can.

I’m a Filipina expat who gallivants across 3 of my favorite Southeast Asian cities: Manila, where I’m really from; Jakarta, where both love and my career as a digital junkie took me and Kuala Lumpur, where half of my family lives. I’m enamored by these beautiful cities, their quirks and rough edges notwithstanding.

I started this blog to claim my minuscule real estate on the Internet to (once again, after a 2-year hiatus) write about the things in life that I’m most passionate about:

My work in the digital space.

How life is like being a woman expat in an industry dominated by men.

My life in Jakarta as an expat. My adventures in Manila and KL.

Travel. Books. Food. Culture.

Yes, even random thoughts.

Creative. Inspired. Passionate living.

Much of the things that will be written here are my ten cents’ worth (Peso, Rupiah, Ringgit or otherwise) of POV on these things and my chronicles as an expat in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Nothing too serious, but just some raves and reviews, because as how my blog is aptly titled:

Life, is indeed, beautiful.
